Hello, and welcome to network!Savvy, the official homepage of Savera Lee's coverage of all things Olympic. This journal was created for the sole purpose of exclusively providing personal, opinionated coverage of the 28th Olympiad in Athens, Greece, both for those who saw it for themselves and those who missed out. It will continue to offer coverage of Olympic games in the future (particularly since its webmistress, Savvy - that'd be me, speaking in third person - plans on attending the 2006 winter games in her home country of Italy).

Bear in mind that I am an American, and I do consider the American team "my" team (and will refer to them as such), so my coverage will be more than slightly slanted. However, I do applaud the best competetor, and I'm not going to boo anybody from another country for winning a medal. In fact, I often find myself cheering on teams from other nations, even when they're going against the United States. So keep your mind open, and expect me to do the same.
